Yvonne C. (Jaeger) Steuerwald

Yvonne C. Steuerwald, 90, of Plymouth passed away on Thursday morning, April 7, 2022 at the Sharon S. Richardson Community Hospice Center in Sheboygan Falls.

Yvonne was born on September 11, 1931 in Milwaukee a daughter to the late Edward and Gertrude Jaeger.  She attended schools in Milwaukee and graduated from Rufus King High School. Yvonne worked as a legal secretary for 25 years. She was united in marriage to Dennis Monfre on December 13, 1969 and he preceded her in death on April 9, 2009.  She was then married to James Steuerwald on August 7, 2010 and he preceded her in death on January 21, 2017.

Yvonne was a member of Faith Baptist Church in Plymouth and was a member of the “Young At Heart Club” at the church.  She also volunteered her time at the Plymouth Care Center.

Yvonne is survived by her two nieces, Judy Woods of Mesa, AZ and Jan Peterson of Mckinney, TX and their families.  Other relatives and friends further survive. Along with her parents and husbands she was preceded in death by a son, Gary Luther.

A funeral service for Yvonne will be held 11:30 am, Tuesday, April 19 at  Faith Baptist Church, Plymouth with Rev. Andrew Whittenberg, pastor officiating.  Burial will be in Woodlawn Cemetery, Plymouth.  Family and friends may gather at the church, 1223 Krumrey Street on Tuesday from  11 am until the time of service at 11:30 am.

Yvonne was a fond lover of animals and the family requests that memorial donations be made to an animal shelter of their choice.
