William "Bill" L. Sieker

William L. Sieker, age 94, of Manitowoc died on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Villas at Felician Village.

Bill was born on October 24, 1928 in Manitowoc, son of the late Lewis and Anna (Selk) Sieker. He attended schools in Manitowoc, graduating from Lincoln High School. He furthered his education at the University of Wisconsin in Madison, obtaining his degree in Chemical Engineering. On September 8, 1951 he married the former Ruth M. Broen at First Lutheran Church in Manitowoc. She preceded him in death on January 26, 2017. He served his country in the United States Army from 1946 until his honorable discharge in 1948. Bill was employed at Standard Oil Company of Indiana, where he held three patents.

Bill is survived by his four children: Sandra L. Sieker, Demotte, IN, Donald A. (Barbara) Sieker, Lake Worth, FL, Timothy L. (Karen) Sieker, Rolling Prairie, IN, and William C. (Bonnie) Sieker, Mebane, NC; nine grandchildren; 12 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. Bill was preceded in death by his parents: Lewis and Anna Sieker; wife: Ruth Sieker; one brother: Robert Sieker; one sister and brother-in-law: Jeanette and John Meyers; three brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Howard H. (Lynda) Broen, Norma (Russel) Mraz, and Tom (Audrey) Bean.

A private family life celebration to honor Bill’s life will be held at a later date.
