William J. “Bill” Porter, age 71, of Two Rivers passed away on Wednesday, April 19, 2023 at his residence.
Bill was born July 19, 1951 in Appleton, son of the late David and Becky (Gochnauer) Porter. He was a graduate of Appleton West High School with the Class of 1969. Bill earned his teaching degree from the UW Madison and his Master's Degree from the UW Platteville.
Bill taught for many years at Abraham Lincoln Elementary School in Monroe, WI. He finished his teaching career at DeForest Middle School teaching Science.
Bill was a man of knowledge. He loved science, nature, and teaching children. Bill enjoyed fly fishing, creating stained glass, camping in Wyoming, photographing wildlife, reading, and motorcycles.
Survivors include his wife: Sue Porter, Two Rivers; his children: Zelda Jewell, and James Porter, sister: Susan Krouscup (Jack), brother: Michael Porter (Cindy).

A Celebration of Life visitation will be held on Thursday, April 27, 2023 at the All-Care Gathering Center, Manitowoc (925 S. 14th Street) from 11:00 a.m. until 12 noon. A luncheon will follow.
The family would like to thank Dr. Janna Kroiss, Aurora Home Health Care and Aurora Hospice Care for all of their kindness during Bill's illness.
