Virginia “Ginny” Sukowaty, age 91, a lifelong Valders resident, passed away Wednesday, August 31, 2022 at Frontida of Manitowoc (Tender Reflections), with her daughter by her side.
Ginny was born February 26, 1931 in the Town of Brothertown, Calumet County, daughter of the late Anton and Magdalena (Mullenbach) Hauser. On June 7, 1955, she married LeRoy Sukowaty at St. Charles Catholic Church, Charlesburg. Ginny was a dedicated and devoted wife and mother. Ginny was proud to be a Catholic Knight and member of the Niles Homemakers. Some of Ginny's hobbies included quilting, gardening, and she took great pride in her flowers.
Survivors include her five children: Ralph (Paula) Sukowaty, Manitowoc, Carl Sukowaty, Odessa, TX, Mark Sukowaty, Valders, Glen Sukowaty, New Holstein, and Joyce Sukowaty, Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Alex Sukowaty, Kaitlin Sukowaty (Logan Fogeltanz), and Cassidy Sukowaty (Justin Burns); one great-grandchild: Jack Burns; one brother: Jerome (Lucille) Hauser; two sisters: Arlene (David) Daniels and Diane Hauser. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She is preceded in death by her husband: LeRoy Sukowaty; one daughter: Debra Sukowaty; three brothers-in-law and one sister-in-law: Greg (Lucille) Sukowaty, Joe Sukowaty, and Herman Sukowaty; one sister-in-law and brother-in-law: Vivian (George) Muench; and her father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ambrose and Salome Sukowaty.
Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, 202 Church Street, St. Nazianz. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. William Brunner. Ginny will be laid to rest at Knollwood Mausoleum. The family will greet relatives and friends from 9:00 a.m. until 10:45 a.m. on Saturday, September 3, 2022 at St. Gregory Catholic Church, St. Nazianz.
