Sylvia Ramminger, 83, of Plymouth passed away peacefully on Saturday, December 17, 2022.
Sylvia was born on June 9, 1939 in Kiel, daughter of the late Elmer and Lorena (Weber) Diefenthaler. She attended school in Kiel, and graduated from Kiel High School. On September 26, 1959 she was united in marriage to Wally Ramminger at St. Peter and Paul Catholic Church in Kiel. Sylvia was a homemaker and raised four children. In her later years, she worked at the Canning Factory in Plymouth and at Plymouth High School in the cafeteria as a cook.
Sylvia enjoyed many different craft projects, especially making floral arrangements for family and friends weddings. She treasured spending time with family and camping. Sylvia was a member of St. John the Baptist Catholic Church in Plymouth for 50 plus years.
Sylvia is survived by her children: Tess Ramminger (Robert Goelzer), Plymouth, Robert (Tracy) Ramminger, Plymouth, Carrie Marver, Howards Grove, and James Ramminger, Plymouth; six grandchildren: Tyler (Trenna), Ashley (Tim), Cassie (Ivan), Trista, Austin, and Rebeckah (Curtiss); two great-grandchildren: Eli and Hayven. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. Sylvia was preceded in death by her parents; her loving husband: Wally; grandson Nate; and sister: Delores.
A Mass of Christian Burial to celebrate Sylvia’s life will be held on Monday, December 26, 2022 at 2:00 pm at St. John the Baptist Catholic Church, 115 Plymouth St., with Rev. Phillip Reifenberg as celebrant. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Monday, December 26, 2022 at the church from 12:00 pm until the time of service at 2:00 pm. Sylvia will be laid to rest in the church cemetery.
