Sue Reindl Obituary

Sue Ann Reindl, of Manitowoc (Branch) passed away unexpectedly from a brain aneurysm at the age of 77 on Sunday morning, April 9, 2023 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay. The morning before her aneurysm, Sue got to experience two of her favorite activities, yoga class and shopping at Maurices.

The former Sue Ann Deets was born on May 10, 1945 in Richland Center, daughter of the late Earl and Golda (Olson) Deets, during a blizzard. Growing up she experienced many things. Sue Ann was a 1963 graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School and later on in life received an Associate’s Degree in Business Management from Lakeshore Technical College. On May 17, 1969 she married the love of her life Richard Reindl on Norwegian Independence Day. They then had two sons Christopher and Steven. Sue Ann Retired in 2010 from First Chrysler in Manitowoc as their Comptroller.

Sue was otherwise known as E. Bunny or S. Claus, because she made each holiday magical especially for her grandchildren: Lauren, Richard, Morgan and Golda. She never let anyone have a birthday without her signature angel food cake, and would never leave her house without her iconic chocolate chip cookies presented on a paper plate in a Ziploc bag. Sue sent out cards to every person on every occasion, filling the pages completely with her loving words. Her soul was overflowing with pure love and generosity; she was an angel walking this earth. The couple camped for 33 years at Quiet Woods South in Brussels and considered their neighbors as extended family.

Survivors include her husband: Richard “Dick” Reindl, Branch; two sons and daughters-in-law: Christopher (Kathryn) Reindl, Sherry; Steve (Heather) Reindl, Appleton; four grandchildren: Lauren, Richard “Gus”, Morgan and Golda; one sister: Marilyn Marquardt, Kellnersville; one brother and two sisters-in-law: Ronald (Emily) Deets, Manitowoc; Judy Deets, Shawano; one brother-in-law: Roger Reindl, Manitowoc; one special niece that she considered her daughter: Jane Syrjamaki, Neenah, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Earl and Golda Deets; one brother: John “Jack” Deets; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Ervin and Gladys Reindl; one brother-in-law and two sisters-in-law: Robert (Susan) Reindl, Bette Reindl.
