Sister Jane Marie Loderbauer

Sister Jane Marie Loderbauer, age 79, a member of the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, passed away on Sunday, July 17, 2022, at Holy Family Memorial/Froedtert Health, Manitowoc.

The former Louise Esther Loderbauer, also known as Sister Jane Marie Lodenbauer, was born on November 4, 1942, in Appleton, WI, daughter of the late Joseph and Helen (Gabrielson) Loderbauer. She entered the convent in 1961 and professed her vows in 1963. Sister Jane Marie received a Bachelor of Arts Degree from Silver Lake College, Manitowoc.

Sister Jane Marie served as a teacher at St. Joseph, Sturgeon Bay; St. Bernadette, Appleton; St. Mary, Kaukauna; Holy Innocents and St. Andrew, Manitowoc; St. Agnes and St. Joseph, Green Bay St. Joseph, Rice Lake, and St. Francis, Hollandtown, Wisconsin. Following her years of teaching, Sister Jane Marie provided various community services at Holy Family Convent. Since 2016 she had been a resident of St. Rita Health Center, Manitowoc.

Survivors include the Franciscan Sisters of Christian Charity, brothers (sister-in-law): Joseph Loderbauer, Michael (Connie) Loderbauer; brothers-in-law: Huguener Bastia and David McCormick; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends. She was preceded in death by her parents Joseph and Helen (Gabrielson) Loderbauer; sisters: Betty Bastia and Joan McCormick; and sister-in-law Donna Loderbauer.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30a.m. on Wednesday, July 20, 2022, at the Holy Family Convent Chapel, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass will be the Rev. Placid Stroik, O.F.M. with burial to follow at the Holy Family Convent Cemetery.

The family will greet relatives and friends from 4:00p.m. until 8:00p.m. on Tuesday, July 19, 2022, at the Holy Family Convent, Manitowoc. A prayer service will be held at 7:00p.m. at the Holy Family Convent Chapel. The visitation will continue Wednesday morning from 8:00a.m. until 10:00a.m.
