Ronald “Ronnie” Duescher, age 77, of Whitelaw passed away on Sunday, November 28, 2021 at Aurora BayCare Medical Center in Green Bay.

Ron was born on March 22, 1944 in Kellnersville, son of the late Reuben and Ruth (Lannbrecht) Duescher. He attended local Mishicot area schools and graduated from Mishicot High School. On June 29, 1974 Ron married the former Darlene M. Blattner in Reedsville. She preceded him in death on August 9, 1991. Ron worked as an engineer for fifty years at Parker-Hannifan. He was a member of St. John-St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church. Ron was an avid outdoorsman. He loved hunting, gardening, feeding the birds, attending to his yard and cutting wood. Ron went out West for years and travelled extensively for hunting. He spent many hours with Terry and Bella in the UTV tending food plots and being in the woods. Ron also enjoyed visiting relatives in Arizona and riding around in the dessert and mountains looking at cacti.

He is survived by his fiancée: Terry Paszkiewcz, Oneida; his two sons and daughters-in-law: Ronald (Angie) Duescher Jr., Onalaska; Richard (Rebecca) Duescher, OH; two daughters and sons-in-law: Julie (David) Gomm, Shiocton, Dawn (Tim) Horswill, Amberg; ten grandchildren: Jacob (Kelsey) Horswill, Nick Horswill and his fiancée Uka Purev-Ochir, Makayla Horswill, Laura Gomm and her fiancé Domingo Garcia, Mason (Haylee) Gomm, Colton Guthrie, Ryker Duescher, Shawn Duescher, Shaye Duescher, Andrew Cowan; three great-grandchildren: Olivia Garcia, Freya and Emmett Horswill; one sister-in-law: Jean Duescher, Denmark; one sister and brother-in-law: Rosalyn (Jerry) Bunke, Green Bay, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Reuben and Ruth Duescher; his wife: Darlene M. Duescher; one grandson: Brandon Gomm; one brother: Raymond Duescher.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Wednesday, December 1, 2021 at St. John-St. James Evangelical Lutheran Church, 219 Manitowoc Street in Reedsville. Rev. Darin Aden will officiate with burial to follow at the St. John-St. James Westside Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Wednesday from 9:00 AM until the time of service at 11:00 AM.
