Robert "B.J." J. Rubick

Robert “B.J.” J. Rubick, age 55, a Manitowoc resident, passed away at his home on Tuesday, August, 31, 2021.

B.J. was born on October 19, 1965 in St. Ignace, Michigan, son of Jo-Nell (Davis) Rubick and the late Ron Rubick.  He graduated with the class of 1984 from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, where he excelled in many sports, culminating with his induction to the Athletic Wall of Fame in 2018.  B.J. remained a sports fan throughout his adult years, taking pride in our Wisconsin teams and loved watching games with family and friends.  B.J. was an extremely outgoing person who would have given the shirt off his back for anyone in need, using that passion of caring for years working as both an EMT and paramedic.  Some of B.J.’s favorite moments centered around sharing a meal, a drink, a laugh, a campfire and playing his guitar with friends.  Free time was spent riding his Harley or hunting and fishing up north.  B.J. loved being the life of the party, and although it is way too soon, we know his light will continue shining in all the hearts that knew and loved him.

He is survived by his mother: Jo-Nell Rubick, Manistique, MI; sister: Becky (Bill) Frasch, Milwaukee; nephew: Jacob Frasch, Pewaukee; niece: Julia Frasch, Milwaukee; uncle: Joseph Davis, Manistique, MI; along with other relatives and many friends.  He was preceded in death by his father: Ron Rubick, aunts, uncles, other relatives and friends.

Cremation has occurred at All-Care Cremation Center and a private family service will be held.  A celebration of B.J.’s life will be held at a later date.
