Robert V. Strohm, age 84, a Two Rivers resident, passed away on Monday, afternoon August 23, 2021 at Rivers Bend Health and Rehabilitation in Manitowoc.
Robert was born on May 16, 1937 in Two Rivers, son of the late Vernon and Leona (Hurley) Strohm. He was a graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School with the class of 1955 and served in the United States Navy from 1955 - 1959. On January 2, 1959 he married the former Karen Birr in Las Vegas, NV. Robert was employed with Formrite Tube Company for over 40 years until his retirement. He enjoyed gardening and took pride in his flowers. Many years were enjoyed in his happy place "up north" at his cottage on Pine Ridge Lake in Lakewood. He held a special place in his heart for his grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Survivors include his wife: Karen Strohm, Two Rivers; three daughters: MaryKay (Bill) Niedermeyer, Manitowoc, Brenda Svacina, Jerseyville, IL, Penny (Jeff) Ewen, Manitowoc; nine grandchildren: Nicole, Seth (Meselu), Obsi, Alex, Tamirat, Nathan, Jen (Joe), Allie (Kendall), Brandon (fiancee Ashley); five great grandchildren: Ether, Mary, Audrey, Aria and Easton; two sisters: Janice White, DePere, Patricia Strohm, Mesa, AZ; and brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law: Ginger Steltz, Two Rivers, Kay Stangel, Two Rivers, Roger Birr, Kelly Lake. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was also preceded in death by one son: Dennis Strohm; and one brother: John Strohm along with brothers in law Tom Steltz and Ron Stangel .
Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc. The family will greet relatives and friends on Sunday, August 29, 2021 at the Klein & Stangel Funeral Home, Two Rivers, from 2:00 p.m. until the time of service at 3:00 p.m. officiating at the service will be Deacon Frank Birr.
