Robert Novak Obituary

Robert L. Novak, age 84, of Manitowoc, passed away Saturday, December 31, 2022, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

Bob was born on August 7, 1938, in the Township of Kossuth, son of the late Joseph and Dorothy (Brockhoff) Novak. On July 20, 1957, Bob was married to Irene A. Hutterer at St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek. She preceded him in death on August 6, 2002. Bob served in the Wisconsin National Guard. He worked at Burger Boat Company for 21 years, retiring in July of 2003. Bob enjoyed woodworking, gardening, traveling, snowmobiling, and loved his John Deere tractors. He was a member of St. Anne Catholic Church, Francis Creek.

Survivors include his seven children: Connie (Duane) Lambert, Francis Creek, Cathy (Randall) Roth, Sheboygan Falls, Teresa Novak, Manitowoc, Jodi (Scott) Rogola, Manitowoc, Jeff (Lisa) Novak, Manitowoc, Mark Novak, Mishicot, Mary Novak, Francis Creek; 18 grandchildren: Dustin Huletz, Chad Steffen, Zach (Cassie) Roth, Donovan Strouf (Ashley), Devin Strouf, Dana (Steven) Rahmlow, Tara (Michael) Bastian, Brandon Rogola, Hailey Rogola, Britta Mitchler, Jacob Novak, Brittany Novak, Kyle Novak, Alexander (Melissa) Novak, Courtney Novak (Joseph), Heather Hartman, Amanda Brixius, Gregory Taddy; 18 great-grandchildren; brothers, sisters, brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include: Joyce Novak, Julie Novak, Darlene Teck, Bonnie (Lenny) Beck, Linda (Ronnie) Crass, Sandra Novak, Kim (Terry) Enz, Susan Novak, Nancy (Gordy) Mullen, Rick Mott, Janet Brockhoff, Kenneth Hutterer, Joan Hutterer; nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Joseph and Dorothy Novak; wife: Irene Novak; father-in-law and mother-in-law: John Q. and Anna Hutterer; two great-grandsons: Thomas Querin Steffen and Shane Steffen; four brothers and two sisters-in-law: Dale Novak, Gary Novak, Wayne Novak, Joe (Sandy) Novak, Joyce Hutterer; one sister: Pamela Mott; three brothers-in-law: Ralph Teck, Melvin Brockhoff, John Hutterer; and two nephews: Stevie Hutterer and Gary Novak Jr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM Friday, January 6, 2023, at St. Anne Catholic Church in Francis Creek. The Rev. Christian Raj will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with burial to follow in the parish cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Friday from 9:00 AM until 11:00 AM.
