Richard "Dick" Kleiber Obituary

Richard “Dick” A. Kleiber, age 74, a St. Nazianz resident, passed away Saturday, January 8, 2022 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center from complications with Covid-19.

He was born September 12, 1947 in Manitowoc, son of the late Richard J. and Gloria (Reardon) Kleiber. Dick attended Lincoln High School, graduating with the class of 1965. He was employed at Manitowoc Company as a Master Electrician for 35 years, then with Schnell Electric for three years, and then with Weld Specialty and Supply until his retirement. In his younger years, Dick enjoyed playing dartball and was the captain of the St. Paul’s Catholic Church team and was also a licensed pilot. Dick’s greatest passion was hunting, and he enjoyed hunting and spending time at his cabin in Crivitz.

Dick is survived by two sons: Kevin (Ashley) Kleiber, Manitowoc, and Kurt Kleiber, Saint Nazianz; one grandson: Karter Kleiber; eight siblings: Karen Swoboda, Manitowoc, Christine (Edward) Mahloch, Manitowoc, Susan (Michael) Kenny, Hatley, Kathleen (Tim) Koeppe, Manitowoc, Peter Kleiber, Two Rivers, Daniel Kleiber (special friend Trudy), Manitowoc, Kenneth Kleiber, Louisville, KY, and Pamela (Robert) Cibrario, Kenosha; and his friendly critters at home: Kitty and Max. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Richard and Gloria Kleiber; one brother: John Kleiber; his step-mother: Harriet Kleiber; and other relatives and friends.

Cremation has occurred at the All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and per Dick’s wishes, no services will be held.

The Pfeffer Funeral Home, Manitowoc, is assisting the family with funeral arrangements.
