Phyllis B. (Kozaczuk) Armstrong

Phyllis B. Armstrong, age 93, of Manitowoc passed away on Tuesday, April 16, 2024, surrounded by her family at Shady Lane Nursing Home.

Phyllis was born April 12, 1931 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Julius and Lottie (Skrzypezynski) Kozaczuk.  She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the Class of 1950.  On September 26, 1953 she was united in marriage to William H. Armstrong at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Manitowoc.

Phyllis worked at Mirro Aluminum for 17 years, Santa’s Best for 6 years and Jagemann Stamping for 6 years prior to her retirement.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law:  Richard & Peggy Armstrong, Manitowoc; a son-in-law:  Greg Peroutka, Whitelaw; 4 grandchildren:  Jeremy (Melissa Sauve) Joslin, Eden (Zak Miller) Armstrong, Ken (Bev) Peroutka and Kari (Mark) Plautz; 7 great grandchildren:  Anna and Josef Plautz, Bridget Peroutka, Candie Kunesh, Griffin, Norah and Ethan Joslin; one sister-in-law:  Eleanor Kozaczuk; as well as nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.  Phyllis was preceded in death by her parents Julius & Lottie Kozaczuk, her husband William Armstrong, a daughter Faye (Armstrong) Peroutka, a granddaughter Sonya (Peroutka) Kunesh, sisters Elizabeth (Ed) Decker, Eleanor (Russell) Franke, Florence (Tony) Packowski, Tessie (Clifford) Trottier, Dolores (Earl) Kugler, Serina (Fran) Lemberger; brothers Eddie, Leo and Charles.

Cremation has taken place and per Phyllis’ wishes there will be no services.  Burial will take place at Evergreen Cemetery, Manitowoc at a later date.

The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Pfeffer location, is assisting the family with arrangements.
