Peter J. Brockhaus

Peter J. Brockhaus, age 79, formerly of Colby and Green Grove, passed away on Friday, April 12, 2024 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers.

Peter was born March 21, 1945 in Marshfield, son of the late Harold and Maydell (Wepfer).  He was a graduate of Colby High School with the Class of 1963.  On February 1, 2002 he married Julie Mayrose in Greenwood, WI.

Peter owned Sun Creations Group and designed and built many homes and commercial buildings in Wisconsin. He held many patents and was known for his quick mind and quick wit.

Peter enjoyed gardening, fishing, canning, cooking, learning new things, building, and being with family.

Survivors include his wife:  Julie Mayrose; his children, sons Aaron (Jean) Brockhaus of Medford and Phillip Brockhaus (Dawn) of Medford, and daughter Sasha (Phillip) Gregor of Spooner; brother Paul (Deb) Brockhaus of Holdrege, NE, seven grandchildren: Shaya Brockhaus, Shakira Brockhaus, Zachary Brockhaus, Bailey Brockhaus, Hannah Gregor, Cheyenne Gregor and Colton Gregor; beloved dogs Hairbear, Max, and Minnie, and too many friends to mention.  Peter was preceded in death by his parents Harold & Maydell Brockhaus.
