Patricia A. (O'Neill) Vachon

Patricia A. Vachon, age 92 of Manitowoc, passed away on Sunday, April 10, 2022 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center with her loving family at her side.

The former Pat O’Neill was born on October 6, 1929 in Boston, MA, daughter of the late Robert and Marion (Barrett) O’Neill. As the family moved throughout the United States, Pat grew up in Massachusetts and Lower and Upper Michigan. She was a graduate of Escanaba Senior High School in 1947. On September 5, 1953 Pat married William J. Vachon at St. Anne Catholic Church in Escanaba, MI. He preceded her in death on August 9, 1998. In 1957 the family moved to Green Bay and in 1963 they moved to Manitowoc.

Pat was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish in Manitowoc. She was a former member of the Lady Elks of the Manitowoc Elks Lodge #687. Pat was a former Girl Scout Leader at Holy Innocents Church and did volunteer work at the school. She also volunteered at the Memorial Hospital and Holy Family Hospital. Pat enjoyed golfing and playing Bridge.

Survivors include her four children: Anne (Dwight) Lenhard, Athens, Joan (Roger) Klein, West Bend, William R. (Karen) Vachon, Green Bay, James (Susan) Vachon, West Chester, OH; seven grandchildren: Daniel Vachon and his fiancée Kim Westover, Robert (Gabrielle) Vachon, Sarah Lenhard, Andrew Lenhard, Rebecca Vachon, Rachel Vachon, Kathryn Vachon; one great grandson: Lucas Robert Vachon; two brothers-in-law: Robert Vachon, CA, William Doherty, IL; one special friend: Penny; nieces: Mary Wilt, Patty Powers, Barbara St. Cyr, Marge Martin, Chris DePas, Karen Hartler, Terri TerWisscha, Kathy Waugh, Celine Seuntjens; nephews: Kevin St. Cyr, Bobby Vachon, Joe Vachon, Mike Vachon, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Robert and Marion O’Neill; her husband: William J. Vachon; one sister and brother-in-law: Marion (Donald) St Cyr; sisters-in-law: Carol McDonnel, Dorothy Doherty, Gloria Vachon; former brother-in-law: Jim McDonnell; niece: Michelle McDonnell; and nephews: Michael St. Cyr and Bobby St. Cyr.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 AM on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at St. Francis of Assisi on Waldo, 1121 North 14 Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Ben Johnson will celebrate the Mass of Christian Burial with entombment to follow at the Shrine of the Good Shepherd Mausoleum, Green Bay. Relatives and friends may call at the church on Tuesday from 10:00 AM until the time of services at 11:00 AM.
