Norman Loeh Obituary

Norman G. Loeh. age 79 of rural Whitelaw (Manitowoc County) passed away unexpectedly at his residence Thursday evening, January 12, 2023.

Norman was born in Manitowoc on October 6, 1943 to the late Norman H. and Ann (Nemecek) Loeh. He graduated from Mishicot High School with the class of 1961 and was a Veteran of the United States Army, 1965-1967, having been stationed in Germany for 18 months. Norman married Bonita (Bonnie) Burish on August 17, 1968 at St. Joseph’s Catholic Church, Kellnersville.  She was his sweetheart for 54 years.

Norman was a machinist at Manitowoc Engineering for many years, retiring in 1998.  He enjoyed downhill and cross-country skiing, old tractors and going to tractor shows, gardening, taking care of their property to make it look like a park, and going out with friends, especially for Friday night fish fries.  Norman will be remembered for his warm smile and quick wit.

Norman is survived by his wife, Bonnie, rural Whitelaw, one brother-in-law, Frank Burish, Kellnersville, and special friend, June DeNoble, one sister-in-law, Mary Kay Burish, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Norman H. and Ann (Nemecek) Loeh, his father-in-law and mother-in-law, Gordon and Emily Burish, sisters and brother-in-law, Dorothy and Richard Zinkel, Donna Zahn, brothers and sisters-in-law, LaVern (Joe) and Marlys Sloup, Richard and Bonnie Sloup.

A celebration of Norman’s life will be held at 11:00 AM Saturday, January 28, 2023 at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center (Peace Church, 3613 Waldo Blvd, Manitowoc). Lisa Novachek celebrant will officiate. Cremation has taken place. Following the service Military Honors will be accorded by Kubale-O’Connell VFW Post #6179 of Kellnersville. The family will greet relatives and friends at the Lakeshore Life Celebration Center from 9:00 AM until 10:45 AM. Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, Kellnersville location is assisting the family with arrangements.
