Marvin C. Now

Marvin C. Now, age 90 of Two Rivers, passed away on Wednesday afternoon, July 21, 2021 at the Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.

Marvin was born on January 17, 1931 in the Township of Norwood, Langlade County, Wisconsin, a son of the late Vern and Frieda (Robinson) Now. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict from March 27, 1952 until his honorable discharge on February 20, 1954. On December 26, 1955 Marvin was married to the former Barbara J. Biegick at Berlin, WI. She preceded him in death on August 12, 2017.

Marvin was employed by the City of Antigo as a building inspector from 1954 to 1965, then held the position of building and zoning codes administrator for the city of Two Rivers from 1965 until retiring in 1996. He enjoyed playing and teaching music and played guitar with bands mostly in the northern area of Wisconsin for several years.

Survivors include two sons: Lawrence J. “Larry” Now, Two Rivers, Roger V. Now, Chilton; one daughter: Laura L. Cornelius, Two Rivers; four grandchildren: James Now, Albuquerque, NM, Heather A. Now, Bessemer, MI, Michael Cornelius, Two Rivers, Stephanie Nemetz, FL; one great granddaughter: Oaklie Now; other relatives and friends survive. He was preceded in death by his parents: Vern and Frieda Now; his wife: Barbara Now; and one son: Patrick Now.

Cremation has taken place at the All Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc and per Marvin’s wishes there will be no memorial services held.
