John H. Wegner

John H. Wegner, age 86 of Manitowoc, passed away on Monday, April 15, 2024 at his residence.

John was born on February 13, 1938 in Two Rivers, son of the late Fred and Edith (Koehler) Wegner. He attended schools in Manitowoc, graduating with the class of 1957 from Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He served in the United States Army. John enjoyed watching old movies, especially westerns, working on his cars, loved animals, socializing with his friends at McDonald’s and watching sporting events, especially basketball.

He is survived by his sister: Joan Wegner, Manitowoc, four cousins and many special friends. He was preceded in death by his parents: Fred and Edith Wegner; one brother and sister-in-law: Frederick (Marion) Wegner; nephew; James Wegner.

Funeral Services will be held at 11:00 am on Friday, April 19, 2024 at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928, South 14th Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Roger Harrison will officiate with burial to take place in Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call on Friday at the funeral home from 10:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am.
