Helen Mary (Krejcarek) Kath

Helen M. Kath, age 98, of Manitowoc passed away on Sunday morning, June 5, 2022 at Aurora Medical Center of Manitowoc County.

Helen was born on March 2, 1924 in the township of Kossuth, daughter of the late Joseph and Clara (Cherney) Krejcarek. On September 13, 1949 Helen was married to Melvin Karbon at Waukegan, IL. He preceded her in death on July 7, 1985. On November 7, 1988 Helen was married to Raymond Kath at the Rockwood Ev. Lutheran Church. He preceded her in death on August 23, 2010. Helen worked as a press operator for Mirro for 12 years, Manitowoc Ice and retired from Aitken & Reed. She is a member of Faith Church in Manitowoc. Helen enjoyed exercising, gardening and her cats.

Helen is survived by five children: Sue (Bryant) Henderson, KY, Kathy (Bill) Groothoff, AR, Dan (Mary Beth) Karbon, Manitowoc, Rosemary Karbon, Manitowoc, Joe (Ronda) Karbon, Green Bay; 14 grandchildren: Jamie, Scotty, Jimmy, Celena, Dan Jr., Mike, Jamie, Shawn, Amber, Travis, Tatum, Tessa, Michelle and Kristen; 20 great-grandchildren: Scarlet, Tristan, Ashton, Anthony, Sara, Brittany, Hunter, Zachary, Addisyn, Issac, Dalton, Katlyn, August, Lyrica, Lance, Ayden, Emma, Collin, Morgan and Mason; two sisters: Betty Jane Pfefferkorn, Milwaukee, Joyce Krejcarek, Manitowoc, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Joseph and Clara Krejcarek; her former husbands: Melvin Karbon, Raymond Kath; infant son: Robert; one granddaughter: Vetania; two great-grandchildren: Morgan and Natasha; one brother and sister-in-law: Joe (Esther) Krejcarek; one sister and two brothers-in-law: Olive (Leonard) Skarda, Earl Pfefferkorn.

Funeral services will be held at 3:30 PM on Thursday, June 9, 2022 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Family Funeral Home, 818 State Street, Manitowoc. Pastor Jeremy Vance will officiate with cremation to follow the service and burial of her cremated remains at the Branch Evergreen Cemetery at a later date. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Thursday from 1:30 PM until the time of service at 3:30 PM.
