Gloria J. (Mominee) McAlpin

Gloria J. McAlpin, a strong woman with a heart of gold, passed away on Monday, December 5, 2022 with her loving family beside her at her home in Shebogyan at the age of 70.

Gloria was born on July 11, 1952 in Port Washington, a daughter to the late Gerald and Beverly (Dickmann) Mominee.  She attended schools in Port Washington. She was united in marriage to John McAlpin on December 14, 1990 and he preceded her in death.  Gloria was a homemaker who always enjoyed being with family and the company of her many friends. Helping others was something she took pride in.  She also enjoyed coloring on her phone.   She also loved and enjoyed the company of her dog, Lily.

Gloria is survived by her children, Terri Lee McDaniel, Richard “Jasen” McDaniel (special friend Angela Bustillos), Cathy Joe McDaniel, Beverly Treptow and Susan Wright (special friend, Anastacio Molina) all of Sheboygan; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.  Other family and friends further survive.  She was preceded in death by her husband, parents, a sister Susan Mominee and brothers, Terry and Gary Mominee.

Cremation will take place with a Celebration of Life to be held at a later date.

Gloria’s family would like to express their gratitude and appreciation for the comfort and support given by her caretaker, Brett Alden and the Aurora At Home Hospice staff. Their compassion will always be remembered.
