Glen R. “Yogi” Guetschow

Glen R. “Yogi” Guetschow, age 77 of Manitowoc, passed away on Saturday, April 6, 2024 at the Manitowoc Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc.

Yogi was born on September 27, 1946 in Two Rivers, son of the late Emil and Hazel (Taddy) Guetschow. He was a 1964 graduate of Two Rivers Washington High School. Yogi served in the United States Army during the Vietnam War. On August 28, 1971 he married the former Kristine A. Chapman at Holy Redeemer Catholic Church in Two Rivers. Yogi worked for Rust Environmental in Sheboygan and retired in 2006 from Silver Lake College. He enjoyed watching the Green Bay Packers and professional baseball. Yogi played baseball for the Two Rivers Polar Bears.

Survivors include his wife: Kristine Guetschow, Manitowoc; one brother and sister-in-law: Donald (Nancy) Guetschow, Green Bay; one sister: Ellyn Bui (Gene Rieck), Manitowoc; three sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law: Lynn Denis, Manitowoc, Daniel (Kathy) Chapman, FL, Lori Kinsella, WI, nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his parents.

A Memorial service will be held at a later date. Burial of Yogi’s cremated remains will take place at the Chapman Family Cemetery in Niagra. The Lakeshore Family Funeral Homes, Pfeffer Funeral Home of Manitowoc is assisting the family with arrangements.
