Evelyn (Nienhaus) Ebert, age 75, of Taus died from cancer on Wednesday, January 11, 2023, at home with her family.

She was born on May 23, 1947, in Manitowoc to Ellsworth and Elaine (Spatchek) Nienhaus and attended Menchalville School, St. Joseph Catholic School in Kellnersville, and Reedsville High School, where she graduated with the class of 1965. Throughout her life, Evelyn worked at Mirro, Oswald’s, and Bob and Elaine’s bar in Taus and babysat for more than forty kids. She was a charter member of the Inland Snowblazers and a member of St. Joseph Catholic Church, she was devoted and resourceful, and you could often find her in her garden, crocheting, or working on a craft project. Evelyn was also an ardent blood donor and gave more than 15 gallons of blood in the last few decades, meaning she likely saved at least 360 lives.

Evelyn loved spending time with and caring for her children, grandchildren, and great-grandchildren. She was the best mom and grandma.
