Eleanor C. Taylor, 93, of Manitowoc passed away peacefully on Saturday, August 13, 2022 at her home surrounded by her family.
Eleanor was born on March 17, 1929 in Manitowoc to the late Paul and Goldie (Schindel) Kerchefske. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School. On September 3, 1949, Eleanor married William “Buddy’ Taylor at First Presbyterian Church in Manitowoc. Together they owned and operated Taylor Trucking and Ready-Mix. Buddy preceded her in death on September 20, 2002.
Eleanor was a member of First Presbyterian Church, where she served as a Deacon. She enjoyed crocheting, cooking, baking, traveling and socializing and spending time with her family and friends.
Eleanor is survived by her children: James (Cheryl) Taylor of Manitowoc, Sue (Steven) Sieracki of Manitowoc, and Lisa (James) Boerner Jr. of Sheboygan; grandchildren: Troy Leikam, Alissa Taylor, Casey Sieracki, Holly Scheidt, Julie Sieracki, Jennifer, Anne, and Amanda; great-grandchildren; brother: Glenn Kerchefske; and sisters-in-law: Mary Lou Kerchefske, and Patty Krizek. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Eleanor was preceded in death by her parents; her son: William Taylor Jr., brothers: Phil Kerchefske, and Earl Kerchefske; and sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law: Beverly Kerchefske, Norma (Al) Wagner, and Charlie Krizek.
A funeral service to celebrate Eleanor’s life will be held at 11:00 am on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the Reinbold & Pfeffer Funeral Home, 818 State St., with Rev. Dr. Matthew Sauer officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, August 27, 2022 at the funeral home from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Eleanor will be laid to rest at Evergreen Cemetery.
