Diane Elizabeth (Kane) Claussen

Diane Elizabeth Claussen, 75, of Sheboygan Falls passed away on Saturday, November 18, 2023 at Aurora Sheboygan County Medical Center.

Diane was born on January 24, 1948 in Sheboygan to the late Melvin and Dorothy (Bachman) Kane. Diane was a graduate of Sheboygan Falls High School, she furthered her education at the University of Wisconsin Stevens Point where she obtained her Bachelor's Degree in Education. On July 17, 1971 she married James Claussen, he preceded her in death on April 17, 2005. Throughout the years, Diane gave of herself as an educator at St. Clements Catholic School in Sheboygan and St. Mary’s Catholic School in Sheboygan Falls until her retirement. Following her retirement, Diane continued her love of teaching by tutoring countless children over the years.

Diane was a devoted member of Blessed Trinity Catholic Church. She was an avid reader, enjoyed traveling with her sister Kathy, and watching Hallmark movies and gameshows. Diane looked forward to playing games, particularly dominos with family and friends. She loved and cherished spending time with her family, especially her grandchildren.

Diane is survived by her daughter: Stephanie Harrison; grandchildren: Sam, Ashley and Alexis Harrison; sister: Kathy (Jody) Moore; and brother: Dan (Kelly) Kane. She is further survived by nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends. Diane was preceded in death by her parents: Melvin and Dorothy Kane; and husband: Jim Claussen.

A memorial service to celebrate Diane’s life will be held on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at 11:00 am at Blessed Trinity Catholic Church, 319 Giddings Ave., with Rev. Jonathon Schmeckel officiating. Relatives and friends may greet the family on Saturday, November 25, 2023 at the church from 9:00 am until the time of service at 11:00 am. Inurnment will take place at St. Mary’s Cemetery in Sheboygan Falls.
