Diana Stuelke Obituary

Diana M. Stuelke, age 89, of Manitowoc, passed away Sunday morning June 19, 2022, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc.

The former Diana Frasser was born on April 14, 1933, in Watertown, daughter of the late Fred G. and Lorna M. (Setzkorn) Frasser. She was a 1951 graduate of Watertown High School. On September 18, 1955, Diana was married to Stanley E. Stuelke in Watertown. He preceded her in death on July 20, 1987. Diana had worked for the Bank of Watertown from 1951 until 1957. She had also worked for the Manitowoc Public School District for 23 years, 1970 until 1993, working as a librarian at Cleveland Elementary, among other positions at the school district. She was a member of Lakeshore United Methodist Church, the United Methodist Women’s Society, and the Silver Stampers. Diana enjoyed fishing up north with her family, rubber stamping, making cards for family and friends, flower gardening, and was an avid reader. She loved cardinals and sunflowers, and decorating for holidays, especially Christmas. 

Survivors include: her daughter: Marie Robinson, Manitowoc; one son: Craig Stuelke, Manitowoc; two grandchildren: Kimberly Robinson, Traverse City, MI, Samuel Stuelke, Manitowoc; one brother: Richard Frasser, Watertown; one brother-in-law and one sister-in-law: Warren Stuelke, Jefferson, Betty Zwiebel, Watertown; nieces, nephews, other relatives, and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by her parents: Fred and Lorna Frasser; her husband: Stanley E. Stuelke; one son: Scott Stuelke; one daughter-in-law: Debbie Stuelke; father-in-law and mother-in-law: Edward and Almae Stuelke; one brother-in-law: Phil Zwiebel; one sister-in-law: Kay Stuelke.

Funeral services will be held at 11:00 a.m. Friday June 24, 2022, at the Pfeffer Funeral Home, 928 South 14 Street, Manitowoc. The Rev. Neil Piepenburg will officiate with burial to follow at the Evergreen Cemetery. Relatives and friends may call at the funeral home on Friday from 10:00 a.m. until the time of services at 11:00 a.m. In honor of Diana’s enjoyment of color, please wear clothing to celebrate her love of color.
