Connie L. Johnson

Connie L. Johnson, age 76, a Manitowoc resident, passed away on Monday afternoon, May 24, 2021 at Manitowoc Health and Rehabilitation Center.

Connie was born on October 1, 1944 in Niagara Falls, NY, daughter of the late Addison and Bettie (Velmont) O’Hara. After high school, she earned her CNA certificate and worked as a nursing assistant for 19 years. On March 23, 1962 she married James P. Johnson in Niagara Falls, NY. Connie enjoyed crocheting, puzzles and gardening in her younger years. She was always patient and very devoted to her family. Connie also had a wonderful sense of humor.

Survivors include her husband: James P. Johnson; three sons: Keith (Rika) Johnson, Ray (Vicki) Johnson, Mike (Kris) Johnson; one daughter: Sheri (Bryan) Gagnon; six grandchildren; three great grandchildren; four brothers-in-law and three sisters-in-law. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by infant daughter: Laurie Ann Johnson; her parents: Bettie and Addison O’Hara; brother: Richard; and sister: Judith. Other relatives and friends have also preceded her in death.

Cremation has taken place at All-Care Cremation Center, Manitowoc, and private family services will be held.
