Carol Kahl Obituary

Carol Ann Kahl of 1316 Robin Rd, Manitowoc, WI, entered eternal life on Sunday, June 12th, 2022, shortly after celebrating her 83rd birthday.

Carol was born on June 7, 1939 in Oshkosh, WI. She was the daughter of the late Raymond and Reyneldis “Nell” (nee Christel) Schuler. Carol graduated from Mishicot High School in 1957. She married Steven Ralph Kahl at Holy Innocents Catholic Church (now St Francis de Assisi) in Manitowoc, WI, on October 28, 1961. He preceded her in death on December 31, 1998. She was employed for 32 years at the Felician Village senior living community (St. Mary’s), under the guidance of the Felician Sisters (1990-2022). She was a Dietary Aide, serving residents at The Gardens and at The Bistro. Carol also utilized her accounting and administrative skills, to help keep the family business running for 30 years – Kahl Cash Register & Electronics. Carol enjoyed her work & helping others, spending time with family & close friends, planting flowers & gardening, feeding the birds, listening to music, playing cards & bingo, bowling & watching the Packers.

She is survived by 4 children: Michael (Kari nee Hanson) Kahl of Oregon, WI, Mary (Ronald) Mahoney of Papillion, NE, Michelle Kahl (Scott Schroeder) of Reedsville, WI, and Melissa Kahl of Green Bay, WI; 7 grandchildren: Amy (Kyle) Grover, Sarah Kahl, Thomas Peroutka Jr., Monika Kahl, Amanda Mahoney, Aaron Mahoney, and Caroline Kahl; 1 great-grandchild: William Grover; 2 siblings: Connie Rupinski (Larry Cornell) of The Villages, FL, and Marvin Schuler (Barbara Rich) of Manitowoc, WI; and loving nieces & nephews. She was preceded in eternal life by her brother Myron Schuler of Orfordville, WI (survived by Marilyn nee Witt) on September 10, 2017.

All are invited to pay their respects at her visitation on Friday, June 17th. The funeral will be held at St. Francis of Assisi Catholic Church (formerly Holy Innocents) Waldo Site, officiated by Rev. Doug LeCaptain. Services will be at 11 am, with viewing from 9 am to 11 am. A luncheon will be at 12:30 pm at the Lakeshore Life Center (Peace United Church of Christ) 3613 Waldo Blvd. She will be laid to rest with family and close friends at Calvary Cemetery.
