Ardice Schuette Obituary

Ardice Y. Schuette, 90, of Plymouth passed away with her family beside her on Tuesday, April 19, 2022 at the Sheboygan Senior Community.

Ardice was born on May 26, 1931 in Random Lake, a daughter to the late Armin and Irma (Roessler) Henning.  She attended elementary school in Random Lake and graduated from Plymouth High School in 1949. Following graduation she worked for attorney Phil Anderson for 6 years. On May 26, 1951 she was united in marriage to Henry Schuette at Salem United Church of Christ in Plymouth. Following the birth of her children she remained at home until she and her husband purchased the A&W Restaurant in Plymouth which they owned for 10 years. She worked in the toy business in West Bend until they purchased the Dairy Queen, owning it for 30 years. After selling the Dairy Queen they purchased the Parkview Family Restaurant and Palo Popcorn both in Sheboygan Falls and upon the sale of those businesses retired.  Henry preceded her in death on April 10, 2008.

Ardice was active with her children being involved as a den mother for Cub Scouts and a Campfire Girl leader.  She sewed may outfits and prom dresses for the family.  She also enjoyed knitting mittens and hats for the kids.

Ardice was a member of Salem U.C.C. where she had taught Sunday School, sang in the choir and was involved in the Willing Workers.

Ardice is survived by her daughter, Cynthia Berth of Sheboygan Falls and her special friend Gerry Isbell; her grandchildren, Russell Schuette of Sheboygan Falls, Jill (Joshua) Imig of Sheboygan Falls, Lindsay Schuette and her fiancé, Travis Patrick of New York, Wendy (Frank) Fiordellisi of Iowa, Paula (Andrew) Blattner of Hudson, WI, Michael Berth of Chicago and Kelly Berth and her fiancé Andy Stauber of Minnesota; her great grandchildren, Ethan Schuette, Elsa Schuette, Ava Imig, Jackson Imig, Michael Niger, Henry Blattner, Mabel Blattner, Gionni Fiordellisi and Luka Fiordellisi; her sister, Lindoris Fintelmann of Plymouth, and foster brother, James (Sandra) Preder of Plymouth.  Many nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends also survive.  Along with her husband and parents she was preceded in death by a son Richard Schuette; son-in-law, David Berth; a brother-in-law, Frederick Fintelmann and her father and mother-in-law, Henry and Edna Schuette.

A Funeral service for Ardice will be held 1 pm, Saturday, April 23 at Wittkopp Funeral and Cremation Service with Pastor Dale Miller officiating.  Burial will follow in the Woodlawn Cemetery in Plymouth.  Family and friends may gather at the funeral home, 123 South St. on Saturday from 11 am until the time of service at 1 pm.

A memorial fund has been established in Ardice’s name.
