Marcella M. Stefancic, age 91, a resident of the Chilton Care Center, Chilton, died Tuesday evening, January 6, 2009, at the center. She was born August 30, 1917, in Manitowoc Rapids, daughter of the late John and Mae (Schuette) Pleuss. On November 24, 1938, she married Fred Krueger and he preceded her in death on August 24, 1988. On August 30, 1994, she married Orville J. Stefancic at St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg and he preceded her in death on April 20, 2003. Marcella was employed for 30 years at the Manitowoc Health Care Center in addition to helping farm the Pleuss Homestead where she lived nearly all her life. She had many interests and hobbies including sheepshead, embroidery and crocheting. She was a lifetime member of St. John's Evangelical Lutheran Church, Newtonburg, and its Ladies Aid Society. She was also a former Shadyside HCE member and was active for many years in the Manitowoc County Historical Society. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: John & Robin Krueger, Manitowoc; two daughters and sons-in-law: Ruth & Denton Aebischer, Chilton; Mary & Donald Paul, Fond du Lac; five grandchildren: Fritz (Marcie) Krueger, Kerry (Troy) Duchow, Michael (Jennifer) Paul, Joseph (Angela) Paul, and April Paul; and two great grandchildren: Angelina Krueger and Henry Paul. She is further survived by her step children: David, Donald, Susan & Mary; step grandchildren: Rozlyn Hall & Roxanne (Daniel) Schmidt; and a step great grandchild: Keyona Hill. Marilyn Pagels, age 71 of Gleason, and formerly of Two Rivers, died Monday, Jan. 5, 2009 at her residence. She was born on Dec. 14, 1937 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Reuben and Ludmilla Voigt. On July 28, 1956 she married Donald Pagels. in Manitowoc. Marilyn was a devoted wife, mother, and grandmother. She enjoyed planning and organizing church functions, as well as getting her whole family together. Marilyn was a member of Christ Evangelical Lutheran Church and the Owls in Merrill, and a former member of St. John's Ev. Lutheran Church in Two Rivers, Wi. She also sang in both church choirs. Marilyn loved life and spending time with her children and grandchildren. Marilyn is survived by her husband Donald of Gleason; 3 sons: Ward Pagels, Jeffrey G. Pagels of Manitowoc, and Steve (Rose) Pagels of Two Rivers; 7 Grandchildren; 10 Great Grandchildren; 2 sisters, Carol (Forest) Hubbard of Lansing, Illinois, Diane (Mike) Brull of Manitowoc; and one brother, Wesley (Dolly) Voigt of North Carolina. Cleo M. Brooks, age 84, of 1618 Lowell Street, Two Rivers, died Monday morning, January 5, 2009 at her residence. Cleo was born August 14, 1924 in Laona, Wisconsin, daughter of the late Raymond and Margaret (Kerstens) Hupf. On April 30, 1941 she married Francis J. Brooks at St. Leonard's Catholic Church in Laona. He preceded her in death on February 20, 1994. Cleo was employed at Mirro Aluminum Company for 23 years until her retirement. She enjoyed being with her children, going to rummage sales, and watching Daniel O'Donnell videos. She was a member of St. Peter the Fisherman Catholic Church. Florence A. Henricks, age 90, of 1228 S. 21st Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday, January 4, 2009, at St. Mary's Home at Felician Village, Manitowoc. She was born October 17, 1918, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Felix and Minnie (Novak) Osesek. On August 3, 1940, she married Emil A. Henricks in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death January 27, 2000. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Dale & Rita Henricks, Fitchburg, Wisconsin, and two grandchildren: Joseph and Marita Henricks. Milan J. Miller, age 75, of 2311 Division Street, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly Monday morning, January 5, 2009, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. He was born July 24, 1933, in Sheboygan, son of the late Norbert and Katherine (Stein) Miller. Milan was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, class of 1951. He was a veteran of the United States Army serving during the Korean Conflict. Upon returning to Manitowoc, Milan played semi-pro football for the Manitowoc Chiefs. On September 3, 1960, he married the former Bernice Granger at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Milan was employed for 45 years with Chermake Sausage Company of Manitowoc, retiring in 1996. After his retirement, Milan was also employed as a security guard with Mirro Aluminum and Burger Boat companies. Lawrence R. Zimmer, age 64, of 1910 Lincoln Street, Two Rivers, died Thursday morning, January 1, 2009 at his residence. Lawrence was born September 19, 1944 in Two Rivers, son of the late George and Lillian (Paul) Zimmer. On July 4, 1990 he married the former Martha Sorenson in Two Rivers. He was employed at Hamilton's for 35 years in the Metal Finishing Department. Lawrence enjoyed his motorcycle's, working at the fish market and doing yardwork. Survivors include his wife: Martha Zimmer, Two Rivers; step daughter: Kim Sorenson, Green Bay; two sisters and one brother-in-law: Donna Fallier, Two Rivers; Sandra and Dave Abromavich, Manitowoc; two sisters-in-law: Clara Zimmer, Two Rivers and Helen Zimmer, Manitowoc. Several nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. He was preceded in death by his brothers: Vernon, Delmar, and George Jr. "Cookie" and his four legged kids. She was born June 25, 1913, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Margaret (Gallagher) Brixius. On July 4, 1931, she married Louis J. Jirikowic in Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 4, 1991. Grace was the craft instructor at the Manitowoc Book & Gift Shop for many years. She was a member of St. Francis of Assisi Parish, Manitowoc. Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law: Louis & Mary Jirikowic, Sheboygan; two daughters and a son-in-law: JoAnn Hannan, Miami, Florida, Janis & E. Joel "Toad" Francis Cayemberg, age 39, of 3713 Lincoln Avenue, Two Rivers, died Wednesday morning, December 31, 2008 at the Hamilton Home, Two Rivers. Joel was born in Two Rivers on July 19, 1969, son of Kenneth and the late Rose Helen (Pliszkiewicz) Cayemberg. He was a graduate of Washington High School, class of 1987 where he was an All-State Football player for the Raiders. Joel played one year of football for University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh before continuing and graduating from the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay. He earned an Associates Degree in Fire Science at Portland Community College. Joel earned his Paramedic Certification from Lakeshore Technical College. In 1996, he joined the Manitowoc Fire Department, serving the community until his illness in 2000. He was a member of the Firefighters Union I.A.F.F. Local 368. Joel was an avid hunter, venturing to places like Colorado, Wyoming, and all over Wisconsin for his trips. Archery and gun deer hunting trips in particular to Uncle Mike Kreklow''s fraction near Big Falls, WI. He also enjoyed mountain climbing in Oregon. Joel was a family man and was very close to his family, especially his nieces and nephews. Joel is survived by his father and step-mother: Kenneth & Nancie Cayemberg, Two Rivers; one sister and brother-in-law: Peggy & Richard Akerman, Oswego, OR; three brothers and three sisters-in-law: Kenneth W. & Kim, Manitowoc, Chris & Trudi, Eagle, and William & Tracy, Mishicot; two step-siblings: David (Sandra) Begotka, Texas and Tracy Begotka, Two Rivers; one aunt: Carol Marie Cayemberg, Two Rivers; seven nieces and nephews: Brandon and Kendall Rose Akerman, Corey and Kyle Cayemberg, Tyler and Chelsea Rose Cayemberg, and Hannah Rose Cayemberg; and three step nieces: Nichole and Mandi Novi and Alysa Katerski. Thomas F. Kolbeck, age 68, of 302 N. 43rd Street, Manitowoc, passed away peacefully surrounded by his loving family on Tuesday, December 30, 2008, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. He was born October 9, 1940, in Manitowoc, son of Judith (Rehrauer) Kolbeck and the later Walter M. Kolbeck Sr. Tom was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1959. On August 29, 1960, he married the former Constance Fagan at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Tom retired from an amazing cross country truck driving career in 1999 which allowed him to drive in 48 states logging over 2 million miles during his trucking years. Tom was a state champion truck driver and a member of the Wisconsin Motor Carriers. He loved the outdoors, especially hunting, fishing, camping and golfing. He also enjoyed attending Packer games, especially Packers vs. Bears. Betty was born July 2, 1950 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Marvin and Caroline (Schmidt) Robison. She was a graduate of Valders High School class of 1968. On June 28, 1975, she married Keith Ahrens in Valders. He preceded her in death on August 3, 1995. Betty was employed by Leverenz Shoe Factory for many years. She was a member of Faith Lutheran Church in Valders. Stanley G. Vogel, age 86, of 1447 Friday Street, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, December 29, 2008, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. He was born February 9, 1922, in the town of Manitowoc Rapids, son of the late Frank and Rose (Schuh) Vogel. Stanley was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1939 and also graduated from Manitowoc County Normal Teachers College in 1941. On July 10, 1943, he married the former Lorraine Karstaedt at Holy Trinity Catholic Church, School Hill. From 1942 to 1943 Stanley was a teacher at Woodland School in School Hill. He also farmed in the town of Manitowoc Rapids and was employed with the Manitowoc Office Soo Line Railroad, retiring in 1984. He was elected delegate to the Democratic National Convention in 1960 and was appointed by President Kennedy to the U.S. Treasury Department Bureau of Customs in Manitowoc, holding this position for 13 years. Stanley was elected delegate to State Legislative Council of the Brotherhood of Railway Clerks and was a member of the Manitowoc Central Labor Council. He was a member of St. Michael Catholic Church, Whitelaw. William Peter Raymakers, son of Christopher and Andrea (Jebavy) Raymakers, 7740 Carbon Rd., Branch, was stillborn at Aurora Bay Care Medical Center, Green Bay on Sunday, December 21, 2008. William is survived by his parents; one sister: Paige; maternal grandparents: Lumir and Carol Jebavy, Manitowoc; paternal grandparents: Bonnie and Dale Timm, Two Rivers and Stephen Raymakers, Green Bay; one uncle: Tony Jebavy, Kimberly; paternal great grandparents: Edward Raymakers, Manitowoc and Elaine Hrdina, Two Rivers. Edwin W. "Jimmy" Jagodinsky, age 102, of 1 Hamilton Drive, Two Rivers died Friday, December 26, 2008 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Jimmy was born July 6, 1906 in Manitowoc, son of the late Frank and Mary (nee Sobieszczyk ) Jagodinsky. On June 27, 1941 he married the former Alvina Lalko at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2002. During the 1920's and 30's, "Fleet Footed Jago" was recognized for his exceptional talent as a fielder and hitter. Jimmy was an avid baseball fan, known as a true Chicago Cub adherent and followed his "Field of Dreams" for his entire life. Many questions concerning baseball and its many statistics were settled by Jimmy at his tavern on Madison Street in Two Rivers. He was an expert welder and sheet metal worker at the Manitowoc Ship Yard and helped construct submarines during WWII. Jimmy finished his working career at Mirro in Two Rivers. Survivors include one son and daughter-in-law: Greg and Charmaine (Hetue) Jagodinsky, Waunakee; two granddaughters: Jacqueline and Peter St. Onge, Madison; Christine and Achim Burgardt, Spokane, WA; two great grandchildren: Nikolai Gregory Burgardt and Natasha Alaine Burgardt, both of Spokane, WA; and one sister: Francis "Bell" Matte, Manitowoc. He is further survived by nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Jimmy was preceded in death by eight brothers and sisters: John, Anna, Josephine, Maximillian, Frank, Raymond, Peter and Paul. Geraldine M. Musil, age 76, of 820 N. 9th Street, Manitowoc, died Friday morning, December 26, 2008, at her residence. She was born February 25, 1932, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Edward and Caroline (Behringer) Janesky. Geraldine was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1950. On April 25, 1953, she married William (Jack) Musil at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on July 31, 1996. Geraldine was employed with Schuette's Department Store for 18 ½ years and then with Wal-Mart. Survivors include three sons and one daughter-in-law: Peter Musil, Steven Musil, Jon Musil, all of Manitowoc; one daughter and son-in-law: Sara & Mike Siehr, DePere; five grandsons: Greg, Adam, Andy, Douglas & Jesse; and one brother-in-law and sister-in-law: John & Josie Janesky, Hot Springs, Arkansas; one sister-in-law: Eldora Musil, Rockford, Illinois. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was also preceded in death by one brother-in-law: Gordon Musil. Gertrude M. Bachmann, age 88, of 1605 Madison Street, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, December 24, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. She was born December 31, 1919, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Walter and Mary (Pokorsky) Derus. Gertrude was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1938. On December 1, 1945, she married Arthur H. Bachmann at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death April 30, 1997. Gertrude was employed with the Manitowoc County Aging Resource Center retiring in 1990. She was a member of the Eagles Auxiliary #706 and the V.F.W. Auxiliary #659, both of Manitowoc. Gertrude was a former member of the Rosary & Altar Society of St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Robert L. Schroeder, age 63, of 3436 Gass Lake Road, Manitowoc, died unexpectedly as the result of a heart attack on Wednesday, December 24, 2008 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. He was born December 12, 1945 in Manitowoc, son of the late Richard and Rosella (Gallagher) Schroeder. Bob was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, class of 1964. He was employed with Fred Radandt Sons Inc. for 45 years as a heavy equipment operator, most recently at the Shoto Gravel Pit. Lucille Velina Schumaker, age 94, a resident of Harmony Assisted Living, Two Rivers, died Monday morning, December 22, 2008 at her home. Lucille was born on November 26, 1914 in Lena, daughter of the late George and Margaret (Brouchoud) DesJarlais. Lucille graduated from Lena High School, class of 1932, then moved to Two Rivers. On January 10, 1942 she married Lloyd Schumaker at Sacred Heart Catholic Church in Two Rivers. He preceded her in death in 1980. While living in Two Rivers, Lucille was employed at Metalware Corporation and Mirro Aluminum Company. The couple then resided in Milwaukee where she was employed at Johnson Controls until her retirement in 1976. In 1977 the couple retired to their beloved summer home on Pensaukee Lake in Cecil, WI. After Lloyd's death, Lucille moved back to Two Rivers. She was a member of the Ladies of Sacred Heart, V.F.W. Auxiliary, Rogers Street Fishing Village and the French-Canadian Club. Survivors include one sister, Alice Yana, Two Rivers; two sisters-in-law: Janet Schumaker, Two Rivers, and Mary Schumaker, Manitowoc. Many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by five sisters: Eva Bellemore, Mabel O'Connor, Lillian Abbet, Clarise O'Connor, Rose Gordon, Patricia DeJarlais; four brothers and three sisters-in-law: Wilfred, George, James and Ernest DesJarlais. On January 2, 1971, he married the former Patricia DuRoy in Rapid River, Michigan. Kenneth was employed as a foreman at Harnischfeger Corporation, Escanaba, Michigan, for 25 years. He then was employed at Manitowoc Ice where he retired after 20 years. She was born March 5, 1925 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late George J. and Louise (Vandeveld) Walls. Margaret graduated from East High School, Green Bay. She then received an associates degree from Edgewood College, Madison, and also attended Lakeshore Technical College, Cleveland, in the nurses aide program. On October 30, 1945, she married Lawrence F. Held at St. John Catholic Church, Green Bay. He preceded her in death November 5, 1976. Margaret was employed as a nurse's aide from 1975 to 1981. She was a member of the Rosary & Altar Society as their secretary from 1996-1997 and also volunteered at St. Mary's Home. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School, and he attended and graduated from Manitowoc County Teacher's Normal school. Robert O. Gerroll, age 83, of 4702 Forest Hills Dr., Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening, December 16, 2008 at River's Bend Health & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc, surrounded by his loving family. Robert was born February 7, 1925 in the town of Eaton, son of the late Herbert and Aletta (Auberg) Gerroll. He was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School class of 1942. On August 8, 1948 he married the former Joyclyn Smith at Emanuel United Methodist Church, Two Rivers, formerly called Evangelical United Brethren Church. Bob was employed at the Point Beach Nuclear Plant, Wisconsin Electric Power Company as a Maintenance Supervisor until retiring in 1990. He was a charter member of the Cool City Barbershop Chorus, Clipper City Chordsmen, Meister Singers, and a long time member of the church choir. He was also a member of the B.P.O.E. Elks Lodge #1380 in Two Rivers, the Two Rivers Senior Center and the National Riffle Association. She was born June, 18, 1925 in Sturgeon Bay, daughter of the late Rudolph and Rhoda (Barnard) Bavry. June was a graduate of Sevastopol High School. She married Wallace Zastrow in Sturgeon Bay and he preceded her in death in 1961. June then married Jacob Kloster in Manitowoc and he preceded her in death in 1981. She was a culinary for various restaurants in the Algoma area. June was a former member of the Manitowoc Senior Center. Arthur S. Zipperer, age 85, of 609 S. CTH J, Cato, died Monday morning, December 15, 2008, at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. 1. He was born February 15, 1923 in the town of Cato, son of the late Louis and Elizabeth (Meidl) Zipperer. Arthur served in the United States Army during World War II from 1944-1946 where he participated in the Battle of the Bulge. On June 17, 1950, he married the former Irene Denk at St. Mary Catholic Church, Clarks Mills. She preceded him in death on March 5, 1985. Arthur was a utility construction worker for Bahr Construction until his retirement. In 1975, he founded Jr. Wrigley Field and the Clarks Mills Athletic Association and was involved with this for many years. He earned an Appreciation Award from the Manitowoc County Hall of Fame in 1980. Arthur enjoyed playing horseshores and was an avid Cubs fan. Arthur was a member of the Holy Name Society. Walter P. Theys, age 70, of 2823 12th Street Two Rivers, died Sunday morning, December 14, 2008 at his residence. Walter was born July 7, 1938, in the town of Montpelier, Kewaunee County, son of the late John and Laura (Jadin) Theys. He was a graduate of Kewaunee High School, class of 1956. On October 8, 1960 he married Judy Ann Dhuey at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Algoma, WI. Walter grew up in Kewaunee and later moved to Two Rivers. He was an Automatic Press Operator for 40 years with Mirro Company, retiring in 2002. Walter was a former member of the Holy Name Society. Janice L. Reichwaldt, age 65, of 1500 N. 3rd Street, Manitowoc, joined her husband in Heaven on Sunday, December 14, 2008, at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. She was born June 5, 1943, in Waterloo, Iowa, daughter of the late Robert and Helen (Metcaff) Stevens. On October 25, 1969, she married Elmer Reichwaldt in Chicago. He preceded her in death April 6, 1991. Following high school, Janice was a waitress and worked at Kiel Industry Furniture Company. She also worked at North Ridge as a CNA. In 1991, she continued her education and received her LPN degree at Lakeshore Technical Institute and was employed at various nursing home facilities for many years. In 1999, Janice was employed at the local Head Start program and retired from there due to her illness. Survivors include her children: Bruce (Amber) Reichwaldt; Sherri (Brian) Annis; Vicki (Greg) Hacker; Larry Propson; Chuck (Ann) Reichwald; Ricky Reichwaldt; Alvin (Caroline) Reichwald; Danny Reichwald; Billy Reichwald; Dottie (Randy) Bishop; Alan Reichwald; Joanie (Ron) Krull; Gibby Reichwald; Rosie (Ernie) Schinkey; and Roni (Karen) Reichwald. Mildred Zagrodnik, age 94, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Saturday morning, December 13, 2008, at the home. She was born October 11, 1914, in the town of Melnik, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Joseph and Rose (Pech) Soukup. On October 27, 1937, she married Stanley J. Zagrodnik at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death March 8, 1996. Survivors include a special nephew: Milton Soukup, Manitowoc. Other relatives and friends also survive. Penny Jo Thon, age 58, of 1349 Westwood Lane, Manitowoc, died Wednesday evening, December 10, 2008 at her residence following a courageous battle with cancer. Penny was born on March 2, 1950 in Hammond, Indiana, daughter of the late Lloyd & Mildred (Maddox) Ahlf. She graduated from Hammond High in Indiana, class of 1968. She received her Bachelors Degree in Education in 1972 from Purdue University. During her early working years, she furthered her education and earned her Masters Degree in Education from Indiana University. On November 22, 1981 Penny Ahlf married John Thon in Munster, Indiana. They lived in Munster, having all three of their children there, before moving to Manitowoc in 1988. Once in the Manitowoc area, she was involved in the Junior Service League and the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble. Penny also taught in the Two Rivers Public School district, ending her career in March of 2006 as a second grade teacher at Magee Grade School. She enjoyed gardening, outdoor activities, skiing and traveling out west, going on family vacations to various places, being an educator, and especially spending time with her family. She was always the #1 supporter for all of her daughters, never missing an event. Penny is survived by her loving husband of 27 years: John of Manitowoc; three daughters: Kari (fiancéé Matthew McClenahan) of Minneapolis, MN, Kelly of Milwaukee, and Lauren of Manitowoc; her siblings and their spouses: Betty Andrews, Fort Wayne, Indiana, Roger & Jo Ahlf, Munster, Indiana, Julie & Skip Pence, Green Valley, Arizona, Robert & Lara Ahlf, Munster, Indiana; one sister-in-law: Sharon Thon, Israel; one brother-in-law: Bill (Sue) Thon, Griffith, Indiana; and her special dog: Cooper. George A. Dobinski, age 80, of 3807 Shoto Road, Two Rivers, died Tuesday evening, December 9, 2008, at his residence. He was born February 29, 1928, in Two Rivers, son of the late Stanley and Antoinette (Marocek) Dobrzynski. George served with the U.S. Merchant Marines during World War II. On February 21, 1950, he married the former Catherine G. Duenkel in Grand Rapids, Michigan. She preceded him in death May 5, 1994. George was employed as the Executive Chef at the Manitowoc Motor Hotel for 26 years. He later was employed with Manitowoc Engineering and ended his working career as a security guard with the Burger Boat Company. Survivors include a son: George S. Jon Thomas, age 25, of 2811 School Street, Two Rivers, died unexpectedly Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Mayport Airforce Base in Florida. Jon was born May 3, 1983, son of Gary and Jeanne (Brower) Thomas. He graduated from Valders High School, class of 2001. He then furthered his education at Lakeshore Technical College. On December 19, 2007, Jon enlisted and was serving our country in the United States Navy as an Aircraft Mechanic. Jon is survived by his parents: Gary & Jeanne Thomas, Fond Du Lac; two brothers: Andrew "Drew" Thomas, Two Rivers and Jacob "Jake" Thomas, Fond Du Lac; one sister and brother-in-law: Sarah & Jim Price, Fond Du Lac; nephew: Ethan Thomas (son of Drew) nephew Aiden Price; one niece: Emerson Price (children of Sarah and Jim); his paternal grandmother: LaVerne Thomas, Estero, Florida. Lenore Healy Dewane, a resident of St. Mary's at Felician Village, was born into eternal life on Sunday morning, December 7, 2008. She was born on March 16, 1911, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John and Martha (Tegen) Healy. Lenore was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, where she was a champion tennis player. She then graduated from Marquette University, where she was also a tennis champion. On December 31, 1938, Lenore married Patrick A. Dewane at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on August 16, 1973. Lenore was an accomplished musician, and the harp was her specialty. She played organ in church, was a dance instructor and a champion bowler. She was a member of the Catholic Women's Club, the St. Clare Society, and the Manitowoc Elks Club. Lenore enjoyed raising her six children, and she brought much happiness to her friends through her music. Survivors include her children: Kay (Jim) Dewane Ehrhart, Stillwater, MN, Rev. Clarence F. "Chubby" Doleysh, age 85, of 2706 33rd Street, Two Rivers, died Tuesday morning, December 2, 2008 at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Clarence was born June 29, 1923, son of the late Wenzel & Mary (Swoboda) Doleysh. He graduated from Washington High School with the class of 1941. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII with a tour of Germany. On October 11, 1947 he married Cecilia Vogel at St. Michael Catholic Church in Whitelaw. She preceded him in death on June 1, 2004. Chubby began his career at the Schmitt Lumber Company in Two Rivers. He then continued employment at the Two Rivers Post Office followed by the Kewaunee Post Office retiring in 1983 as Supervisor. He was a member of the Doleysh Brothers Band which played on WBAY television on Sundays as a trumpet player and a soloist. Chubby also played with various local bands and was a conductor and member of his own band, the Nightlighters. He was a past President and member of the Two Rivers Community Hospital Board, the Investment Club, and the Owls Club. Larry & Jimmy Yang, ages 12 and 13, of Manitowoc, died unexpectedly from an accident on Friday, November 28, 2008 at Children's Hospital, Wauwatosa, Wisconsin. Larry was born on September 29, 1996, and Jimmy was born on October 6, 1995, sons of United Money & Maiyia Xiong. Larry was a student in 6th grade at Jackson Elementary School, Manitowoc, and Jimmy was a 7th grader at Wilson Junior High, Manitowoc. Larry & Jimmy are survived by their parents: United Money & Maiyia Xiong, Manitowoc; two brothers: Kong Meng Vang and Kevin S. Vang; and one sister: Christine Yang. Vernon O. Krueger, age 76, of 1202 S. 35th Street, Manitowoc, died Monday morning, December 1, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. He was born May 19, 1932, in Potter, son of the late Clarence and Anna (Jentch) Krueger. Vernon was a graduate of Trinity Lutheran School in Brillion. On May 17, 1952, he married the former Delores Moschel at St. John St. James Lutheran Church, Reedsville. Vernon was employed at the Mirro Company for 41 years, retiring in 1994. He loved to go fishing and hunting. In his retirement years, he enjoyed spending time at Shawano Lake in the summer months by his trailer and his little dog Mickey. Jenny M. Van Bramer, age 93, a resident of Wisteria Haus, Two Rivers, died early Saturday morning, November 29, 2008 at her residence. Jenny was born September 29, 1915, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Albert E. And Mary (Vanderbloomen) Van Bramer. She was a graduate of Two Rivers High School. She was employed for 45 years at Mirro Aluminum retiring in 1980. Jenny was a member of the Two Rivers Historical Society, and Woodland Dunes. She was a long time member of Grace Congregational United Church of Christ, Two Rivers, singing in the choir for 75 years before retiring at the age of 89. A small person herself, Jenny always had a special affection for the littlest children. For 30 years she was a beloved 1st Grade Sunday School teacher, lovingly called "Miss Jenny" by her students. Jenny was the church clerk for many years and was involved in every aspect of the church life, including starting and leading a Girl Scout Troop. She regularly attended Bible Study and Women's Fellowship. Grace Church was Jenny's Two Rivers family. She enjoyed visiting shut-ins and the hospitalized on a regular basis. Her activities included the Homemakers Club, Two Rivers Historical Society, attending events at the Capital Civic Center and the Rahr West Art Museum. Jenny loved traveling, whether day trips, weekends in Door County or a memorable trip to England. She once accompanied the Lakeshore Wind Ensemble to Europe. Jenny was always ready to go. Jenny volunteered weekly at Woodland Dunes Nature Center for many years, organizing newspaper clippings and membership files. She was honored as "Volunteer of the Year' in 1989. Survivors include two nieces: Lori (Malcolm) Stennes, Grand Forks, ND; Paula (Dan) Bry, Rockford, IL; one nephew: James (Donna) Van Bramer, Auburn, WA; three great nieces: Susan (Brian) Caravello, Patti (Ryan) Kolbo, Stephanie Van Bramer; five grand nephews: Brian Stennes, Marc (Sarah) Stennes, Keith (Renae Frank) Bry, Kyle Bry, and Ean Van Bramer; four great great nieces: Jessa Stennes, Mya Caravello, Lauren Caravelle, Abby Kolbo; two great great nephews: Caden Bry and Zachary Kolbo. She is further survived by her sister-in-law, Jane Van Bramer and many dear friends. She was preceded in death by her brother, Donald. Frances M. (Daisy) Gorychka, age 83, of 2808 S. 23rd Street, Manitowoc, died Sunday evening, November 30, 2008, following a short illness at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. She was born November 16, 1925, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Charles A. Sr. and Lillian (Radliff) Roberts. On May 28, 1949, she married Edwin S. Gorychka at St. Mary Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death October 14, 1980. Daisy and her husband, Ed, were owner and operators of Anderson Trenching for six years until selling the business. Daisy also owned and operated Daisie's Gifts & Crafts for many years where she enjoyed running the business and meeting people. Following retirement, Daisy enjoyed traveling. Survivors include her children: Diane Gorychka & her husband, William Hansen, Gary Gorychka, Jeanne Gorychka, all of Manitowoc; three grandchildren: Brian, Patrick & Kim; a special friend: Al Naibert, Manitowoc; and two brothers and sisters-in-law: Charles & Caroline Roberts, New York, and Franklin Roberts, Texas. Al Zahn, age 73, of 13404 County Road C, Valders, died Tuesday morning, November 25, 2008, at his residence, after a long battle with cancer. He was born February 19, 1935, in Merrill, Wisconsin, son of the late Ernest and Alice (Woller) Zahn. Al was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School. He was a Veteran of the United States Army serving from1952 to 1955. On January 22, 1986, he married Margit Sandor in Manitowoc. Al was employed at Northern Labs for over 20 years as a production supervisor. He was then employed at West of the Lake Gardens until his retirement in1996. He then co-founded Willow Creek Mill with his wife Margit. Al was also a member of the Lakeshore Curling Club for many years. Survivors include his wife: Margit Sandor, Valders; his children: Sue (Greg) Robinson, Christy Zahn, Keith Zahn and Tari Haupt, Rebecca Zahn, all of Manitowoc; Laurie (Gary) Faust, Valders, Tracy Testa, Valders, Joanne (Paul) Hagen, Stevens Point; eleven grandchildren: Shawn Robinson, Jeremy Robinson, Brian Zahn, Jennifer Engelbrecht, Bradley Daugs, Benjamin Faust, Scott Faust, Emily Testa, Jeffrey Testa, Lauren Hagen, Allison Hagen; five great grandchildren: Katie Jo & Brice Robinson, Tristen Robinson, Marissa Engelbrecht, Adam Faust; one brother and sister-in-law: Art & Joan Zahn, Milwaukee; and two sisters and a brother-in-law: Luella Metzger and Karen & Bruce Morton, all of Manitowoc. His favorite pastimes included just sitting in his garage watching the seasons go by, hunting, fishing, curling, football, talking to everyone, his many dogs, and teasing just about everyone. Margaret A. Bonde, age 93, a resident of St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc, died Thursday afternoon, November 27, 2008 at the home. Margaret was born February 11, 1915 in the town of Newton, daughter of the late Theodore and Genevieve (Baugniet) Bonde, Sr. She was a graduate of Woodland Public School in School Hill. Margaret was employed at the Salvatorian Publishing Dept., St. Nazianz, prior to being employed for 28 years as a Senior Clerk in Radiology at St.Mary's Hospital in Madison, retiring in 1973. She was a member of the V.F.W. Auxiliary Post 659, and the Christian Women of Holy Trinity Catholic Church of School Hill. Margaret enjoyed playing Sheephead. Survivors include three sisters: Loretta Koenig, Manitowoc; Frances Hutchison, Manitowoc; Marion Lenz, Kiel; four brothers and sisters-in-law: Theodore & Virginette Bonde ,Jr, Manitowoc; Alex & Rita Bonde, Kiel; Donald & Margie Bonde, Newton;and Roman & Betty Bonde, School Hill. Charlotte A.Valleskey, age 80, of 909 Columbus Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, November 27, 2008 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. Charlotte was born September 6, 1928 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Harry & Clara (Stelzer) Streich. She was a graduate of Lincoln High School with the class of 1946. On May 1, 1954 she married Harold Valleskey in Hillsboro, WI. Charlotte was a bookkeeper for Streich Oil Company which was owned by her father. She was a member of the VFW Auxiliary. She enjoyed playing cards and games, loved the casinos, enjoyed traveling up north to the cottage, bass fishing at the lake, knitting & crafts, and spending time with her family. Leona R. Thiele, age 89, a resident of Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc, died Wednesday morning, November 26, 2008, at Shady Lane. She was born November 14, 1919, in Manitowoc, daughter of the late Alex and Ella (Huebner) Duveneck. Leona was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1937. On October 28, 1939, she married Donald E. Thiele at First German Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death October 3, 2004. Leona was employed at JCPenney in Manitowoc for 20 years until her retirement. She was a past member of the Ladies Aid at Bethany Evangelical Lutheran Church, Manitowoc. Alvin C. Mrotek, age 93, a resident of St. Mary's at Felician Village, Manitowoc, died Monday evening, November 24, 2008, at St. Mary's. He was born March 1, 1915, in the town of Centerville, son of the late Steven and Frances (Tomchek) Mrotek. Alvin owned and operated a dairy farm in the town of Centerville. He also owned a sand and gravel pit which is still being used today. Alvin enjoyed playing and watching many sports, especially baseball and hunting. He also enjoyed playing sheepshead with his friends at Sacred Heart Court and at the home. He was a former member of St. Casimir Catholic Church and a current member of St. Thomas the Apostle Catholic Community. Survivors include a sister-in-law: Betty Scheinoha, Manitowoc. Also surviving are many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. He was preceded in death by four brothers and six sisters. Warren Frasch, age 82, of 2929 39th Street, Two Rivers, died Monday afternoon, November 24, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. Warren was born September 4, 1926, son of the late Louis and Mary (Sayeski) Frasch. He attended St. Luke Parochial School and Washington High School in Two Rivers. Warren retired in 1991 after working 31 years at Imperial Eastman. He served in the U.S. Army during WWII in Okinawa. He was a lifetime member of the Veterans of Foreign Wars, Two Rivers. In 1949 he married Shirley Springstube.. He married Jean Tomcheck Bender in 1975 in Two Rivers. Warren enjoyed trips up north to Shawano and Gresham at White Pines Resort. He also enjoyed hunting, fishing and spending time with family and friends. Gerald A. Mushel, age 82, a Manitowoc resident, died Sunday afternoon, November 23, 2008, at Shady Lane Nursing Care Center, Manitowoc. He was born May 27, 1926, in Manitowoc, son of the late Steven and Eva (Endries) Mushel. Gerry was employed with Musial Hauling Service for over 40 years until his retirement. He was a life member of St. Francis of Assisi and was an avid Lincoln High School, Chicago Cubs and Bears fan. He enjoyed playing cards, going to Oneida, helping at the Senior Center and dining out at Bud Williams. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: William & Ann Musial, Florida; and four sisters and brothers-in-law: Lorelle & Brian Heller, Florida, Sharon Wenzel, Marilyn Wilhelm, and Joan & Leonard Rivest, all of Manitowoc. Alfred D. (Duke) Reilly, age 81, of 724 N. 7th Street, Manitowoc, passed away Monday, November 24, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers, following a courageous battle with cancer. He was born March 24, 1927, in Grimms, son of the late William and Flora M. (Ayotte) Reilly. Duke attended Maple Grove School. He was a Veteran of the United States Navy serving during World War II in the Pacific Theatre and also assisted at Pearl Harbor. On November 26, 1947, he married the former Ellen Hoppe. Duke was a brick layer for 48 years and worked on every school in Manitowoc except one, and also worked on the Holiday Inn, Manitowoc Ice and the Manitowoc County Jail. He was a member of the Brick Layer Union and Eagles Aerie #706. Duke was an avid cribbage player and had the "Perfect Hand" at Westfield when owned by Mike Meyer. He was also a fabulous gardener and enjoyed woodcrafts. Duke enjoyed playing and later watching softball games especially when his grandchildren were involved. Tammie Lou Zinda, age 40, of 585 Rothe Street, Green Bay, died Friday, November 21, 2008, at St. Vincent Hospital, Green Bay, as the result of an automobile accident. Tammie was born July 28, 1968, in Manitowoc, daughter of Sandy (Leist) Zinda and the late Allan D. Zinda. She was a graduate of Hayward High School, Class of 1986 and earned a degree in cosmetology and as a dental assistant. Tammie was employed with JCPenney Salon in Green Bay as a hair stylist. Survivors include two daughters: Simone Diamond and Jade Ray-El, both of Green Bay; a grandson: Geno Cantu-Diamond; and her mother: Sandy Zinda, Hayward. Senona Evenson, age 98, formerly of 22005 Groh Rd, Chilton, and currently a resident of Willowdale Nursing & Rehabilitation Center, New Holstein, passed away November 21, 2008 at Calumet Medical Center. Senona was born March 7, 1910, daughter of the late Ferdinand & Alvina (Holdorf) Schwalbe. She was confirmed December, 1922 at St. Peter's Lutheran Church in the town of Rockland by Pastor Wm. Schlei. On April 20, 1929 she married Lester Evenson. He preceded her in death in November, 1998. Irene A. Staudinger, age 87, of 1509 S. 35th Street, Manitowoc, died Thursday, November 20, 2008, at Aurora Medical Center, Two Rivers. She was born January 14, 1921, in the town of Newton, Manitowoc County, daughter of the late Richard and Anna Marie (Geiger) Vogel. On May 12, 1945, she married Reinhardt Staudinger at St. Joseph Catholic Church, Alverno. He preceded her in death January 8, 2001. In her younger years, Irene was a very good violinist and singer. She was employed for Mirro/Foley for seven years and the former Tinsel Factory in Manitowoc also for seven years. Irene enjoyed many years of vegetable gardening and canning the harvest. Survivors include two sons: Robert Staudinger, Mesa, Arizona, Jeffrey Staudinger, Manitowoc; one granddaughter; two brothers and sisters-in-law: Leonard & Marge Vogel, Manitowoc, Richard & Heddy Vogel, Green Bay; and two sisters and brothers-in-law: Ann Marie & Richard Jilot, Green Bay, Elaine & William Martin, Plainview, Minnesota. Frank G. Gehrke, Sr., age 79, formerly of Two Rivers, died early Sunday morning, November, 16, 2008 at North Ridge Medical & Rehabilitation Center, Manitowoc. Frank was born January 31, 1929 in Two Rivers, son of the late Clement and Evelyn (Kotarek) Gehrke, Sr. He served in the United States Army 28th division during the Korean War. On June 13, 1953 he married Nancy P. Jorgensen in Two Rivers. She preceded him in death on October 30, 2000. Frank was a Togel Press operator at Metalware in Two Rivers for 24 years and at Mirro Aluminum for 22 years, retiring in 1992. He was a member of the Two Rivers V.F.W. Frank enjoyed listening to music, crafts, woodworking and model cars. June M. Graczykowski, age 86, of 1910 Hamilton Street, Manitowoc died Friday, November 14, 2008 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc. June was born February 20, 1922 in Manitowoc, daughter of the late John Roy and Edna (nee Bean) Pratt. She graduated from Lincoln High School, Manitowoc, class of 1940. On November 7, 1942 she married John Graczykowski at St. Boniface Catholic Church, Manitowoc. He preceded her in death on April 21, 1980. June was employed with the Manitowoc Tinsel Company and J.C. Pennys for many years. She then did demoing for local grocery stores until retiring at the age of 80. June was a former member of the St. Mary Rosary & Altar Society. She enjoyed bowling and taking bus trips to the casinos throughout the area. He then completed a four year apprenticeship program as a tool and die maker with Mirro Aluminum Company. On April 11, 1966, he married the former Joann Viereg at Sacred Heart Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Philip retired on April 8, 1999 from Parker - Hannifin Company after 26 years of employment as a tool and die maker. He was a member of St. Francis of Assisi. Thomas C. Stern, age 70, of 3504 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, made his journey to Heaven on Sunday morning, November 9, 2008, at Aurora BayCare Medical Center, Green Bay. He was born August 23, 1938, in Manitowoc, son of the late George L. & Genevieve (Stanzel) Stern Sr. Tom was a graduate of Manitowoc Lincoln High School, Class of 1956 and then was a graduate of Manitowoc Teachers College in 1966. On July 15, 1961, he married his high school sweetheart, Sharon Meissner, at Holy Innocents Catholic Church, Manitowoc. Tom had a varied career working for Mirro, Hamiltons, Manitowoc Shipbuilders, Montgomery Wards, Mutual Trust Life Insurance Company, as an English Teacher at Reedsville High School and finally retiring in 2000 from the Kohler Company after 32 years of service. Tom was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed playing golf, baseball and bowled on many leagues throughout his life. Tom was also a devout Cubs and Badgers' fan. Peter E. Durben, age 82, of 3720 Menasha Avenue, Manitowoc, formerly of Valders, died Friday, November 7, 2008, at Harbor House I, Manitowoc. He was born April 25, 1926, in Branch, son of the late Paul and Leonora (Heimerman) Durben. Peter was a Veteran of the United States Army. On December 12, 1954, he married the former Charlene Rae Knuepple at Chilton, WI. She preceded him in death July 25, 2004. Peter was employed at Eck Foundry as a molder and was also employed at Krueger Lumber Company. He was a member of the Rockea Hunting Club, belonged to many bowling leagues and was an avid hunter and fisherman. Joseph W. Knox, age 88, of Manitowoc, died Friday afternoon, November 7, 2008 at the Shady Lane Nursing Care Center of Manitowoc surrounded by his loving family. Joe was born December 27, 1919 in the town of Liberty, son of the late John and Elizabeth (Schneider) Knox. He was a graduate of Lincoln High School in Manitowoc, class of 1938. Joe enlisted in the United States Air Force in 1941. He went oversees to the South Pacific in 1942 to Papuan, New Guinea. Joe flew 46 missions as a Canoneer and Upper Turret Gunner on a B-25 Mitchell Medium Bomber. He earned several oversees service bars and medals, including two Bronze Battle Stars and the Good Conduct Medal. Joe was honorably discharged in September of 1946. While on leave, he married Phyllis Graczykowski on March 25, 1944 at St. Mary's Catholic Church in Manitowoc. Joe was a member of the Young Mens Club and enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his grandchildren and great grandchildren. Joe enjoyed going on fishing trips with his son Tim and grandsons, Troy, Andy and Matt. He loved playing horse shoes at family gatherings and cribbage with his son-in-law, Joe. He took pride in the appearance of his home and yard. Joe was always there to help everyone. After retiring from the Aluminum Specialty Company, Joe volunteered at Peter's Pantry for many years. He was a devoted husband and father. Survivors include his wife Phyllis, Manitowoc; two daughters and one son-in-law: Cheryl Copeland, Manitowoc, Sandra and Joseph Neuser, Green Bay; one son and daughter-in-law: Tim and Judy Knox, Appleton; six grandchildren: Troy (Beth) Copeland, Elizabeth Copeland-Wittmus (Todd Wittmus), Amy (Randy) Ellis, Heidi (Michael) Martin, Andrew Knox and Matt Knox; ten great grandchildren: Trevor, Anna and Trent Copeland, Christopher, Tyler and Harley Wittmus, Payton and Chloe Ellis, Jackson and Ryan Martin; two sisters-in-law: Katherine Knox and June Graczykowski, both of Manitowoc; He is also survived by many nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends. Joe was also preceded in death by two brothers: Ralph and William Knox; two sisters: Louette Pantel and Anna Mae Chermak; brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law; sisters-in-law and brothers-in-law. Funeral services will be held at 10:30 a.m. Tuesday, November 11, 2008, at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc. Officiating at the Mass of Christian Burial will be the Rev. Richard Klingeisen with burial at Calvary Cemetery, Manitowoc. Graveside military rites will be accorded by Amvets Post #99. The family will greet relatives and friends at St. Francis of Assisi on Marshall, Manitowoc, from 9:00 a.m. Tuesday, November11, 2008, until the time of service at 10:30 a.m. Memorials may be made in Joe's name to a charity of your choice. Marlene "Sissy" Lou Glysch, age 71, a resident of Kindred Hearts, 5005 Vista Rd, Manitowoc, met with the Lord Friday morning, November 7, 2008 at Holy Family Memorial Medical Center, Manitowoc, Sissy was born October 18, 1937 in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Millard and Tillie (Rebarchek) Sharpe. She attended Washington High School, Two Rivers. Sissy loved playing the organ and singing with her daughters. She also enjoyed fishing, playing cards, especially rap poker, and loved cookouts with her family. Survivors include four daughters and three sons-in-law: Julie & Marvin Clemons, Loves Park, IL; Christine & Rick LaCrosse, Two Rivers; Sandy Glysch and fiancé Todd Groelle, Two Rivers; Teresa & Wayne Anderson, Manitowoc; two sons: Randy Glysch (partner Bill Kunzelman), Madison and Terry Glysch (special friend Alice Elliott), Forest Junction; ten grandchildren: Amanda, Benjamin, Brandon, Brad, Jacob, Allen, Nathan, Andrew, Ryan, and Arron; two yet to arrive great-grand babies; and two sisters and one brother-in-law: Jean & Donald "Frenchie" Lesperance, Two Rivers and Colleen Moravec, Appleton. Constance E. "Connie" LeClair, age 89, of 2005 Division Street, Manitowoc, died Tuesday evening, November 4, 2008 at St. Mary's Home, Manitowoc. Connie was born February 12, 1919, in Two Rivers, daughter of the late Nelson & Theresa (Colling) LeClair. She was employed for 38 years at Mirro Aluminum Company. Survivors include a brother and sister-in-law: Dale & Joan LeClair, Waukesha; and sister-in-law: Janet LeClair, Two Rivers. Nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends also survive. She was preceded in death by five brothers: Leonard, Norbert, J |
